Do you love sports events and planning? An organisation in Western Australia needs an Event and Commercial Manager in Perth. You will plan and deliver big sporting events, from the first idea to event day.
You will work with partners, suppliers and volunteers, and you will help find new partners and ways to improve each event. Strong planning, calm decisions and clear communication are important. You should also be happy to work some weekends and long event days.

Key Responsibilities
- Be responsible for planning and delivering large sporting events
- Follow event needs from the first plan to the final delivery
- Keep good working relationships with sponsors, partners, suppliers, contractors, volunteers and other people involved
- Build and keep strong business and community partnerships
- Support sponsorship activation and find new partnership opportunities
- Look for ways to get more participants and revenue, better events and a better experience for stakeholders
- Organise staff, volunteers, contractors, logistics and event-day operations
- Work with the marketing team to promote events and share clear messages
- Help Race Directors deliver State Series and Championship events
- Lead operations on event day and make confident decisions
- Watch deadlines, resources, logistics and competing priorities, and fix operational problems in practical ways
- Join strategic projects that help the organisation grow, and use your event management knowledge to improve each event
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience in professional event management or a related field
- Proven ability to coordinate and deliver events well
- A record of taking ownership and getting practical results
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience working with sponsors, partners, suppliers, or external stakeholders
- Commercial thinking, with an understanding of revenue and business growth
- Excellent planning, organisation, and attention to detail
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving ability
- Able to work well when things are fast-paced and the pressure is high
- Confident leadership, ready to be hands-on, with a strong focus on customer, member, and community experience
- Able to manage many projects and priorities at the same time
- Flexible for occasional weekend and extended event hours
- Relevant event management experience is essential
- Willingness to work in Western Australia
