A training company for the civil and mining industries in Perth wants experienced trainers and assessors with a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. It looks for people who love sharing what they know. Every student learns one-on-one, on a live operating mine site. The goal is safe, confident operators who are ready for work.
The company needs a Civil Trainer & Assessor, and also a Dozer / Excavator Trainer for production mining D11 & 3600. That makes 2 roles, with 1 person in each. Both work Monday to Friday on 8-12 hour shifts. The mining trainer works across 2 mine sites. The training site is about 60 minutes north of Perth CBD. Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate. People looking for full-time, casual, part-time or job share work can apply too.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach nationally recognised courses and run competency-based assessments, keeping standards high.
- Train each student one-on-one on machines at a live operating mine site.
- Prepare students for real civil and mining jobs.
- Follow site operating procedures and industry best practice.
- Comply with the WHS Act 2020, Mines Safety and Inspection legislation and RTO standards.
- Protect the integrity of assessments: only operators who are competent are signed off as competent.
- Complete training and assessment paperwork correctly.
- Be part of a supportive training team and keep the learning space safe, professional and positive.
- Mining Trainer: support civil training when Dozer & Excavator programmes are not running.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Holds a current TAE40122, TAE40116 or TAE40110.
- Has relevant experience operating civil & Mining equipment.
- Supervisory experience is desirable.
- Stays effective when work is stressful, and can make decisions.
- Can work alone, or as a part of a Team.
- Time Management matters a lot because customers are paying.
- Loves helping people.
- Takes pride in keeping safety and training standards high.
- Is reliable, professional and punctual.
- Can pass a pre-employment medical and daily breathalyser requirements.

- Mining Trainer: the civil plant units above are an added advantage, and RIIMPO324F – Grader with RIIMPO323E – Dozer are wanted too (RII Qualifications not required but desirable)
