This job is for a Registered Nurse. A Registered Nurse (RN) is a fully qualified nurse. The job is permanent and full-time. You will work in an aged care home. Aged care means caring for older people. The home has 52 beds. It is in a small country town in Queensland, under two hours from Hervey Bay. A recruitment agency is hiring, and the start is immediate.
You care for residents, give medicines, plan their care and guide care workers.
Eligible nurses may receive sponsorship support, with potential Subclass 407 or 485-related pathways (Australian visa types), subject to individual eligibility and immigration requirements. You must be onshore to get this help.

Key Responsibilities
- Give good nursing care that fits each resident
- Give residents their medications
- Watch residents' health and wellbeing
- Make care plans for each resident
- Use the care plans and review them
- Guide and support the care staff
- Write correct clinical records
- Talk clearly with residents, families and other health workers
- Follow the Aged Care Quality Standards and clinical rules, and help with quality improvement and clinical reviews
- Act quickly when a resident gets sick or there is an emergency
- Keep learning with continuing professional development
Requirements & Eligibility
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration, and at least six months' work as an RN in aged care
- Strong spoken and written communication skills
- Knowledge of AN-ACC funding and the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Intermediate computer skills and confidence with clinical documentation systems
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance
- Current National Criminal History Check
- Valid Queensland driver's licence
