A Registered Nurse job is open in Inverell, NSW. It is full-time. The employer runs a home for older people. It is a not-for-profit provider with strong values.
You will work in the morning, in the afternoon and at night. You will check each resident's health. You will plan their care. You will give medicines safely. You will keep good records. You must work within your scope of practice. You must follow AHPRA requirements and aged care standards. The Care Manager and the General Manager will work with you.

Key Responsibilities
- Check each resident fully and talk with residents and families about health and care
- Help with new residents and with their later checks
- Make care plans, use them and look at them again often
- Write correct notes on time
- Give care to residents with your own hands when needed
- Give medicines safely and order, keep and record them in the right way
- Watch how residents feel and act fast when their health changes
- Work with families, carers, GPs and the team to keep residents well
- Keep the place safe and kind, with each person at the centre
- Help make care better and follow the rules for quality
- Teach care staff about what residents need
- Work morning, afternoon and night shifts
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Experience in residential aged care, or knowledge of it, or both
- Strong skills in clinical assessment
- Strong skills in medication management
- Strong skills in documentation
- Understand the rules for aged care accreditation and compliance
- Know the government standards for giving aged care
- Excellent skills in talking and working with people
- Able to work in a multidisciplinary team
- A current National Criminal History Check, or able to obtain one
- Real wish to help older people live with dignity, choice and respect
- Meet the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening
