Are you studying engineering and want to learn on real projects? A consultancy in Sydney is looking for an undergraduate civil and structural engineer for its specialty and major projects team. The role is part-time. The firm advises builders and insurers, writes reports on property damage and designs structures, civil works and stormwater systems.
Senior engineers will guide you closely. You will see Structural, Civil, Geotechnical, Stormwater and Architectural work, and the training takes place in the Sydney office. Key Responsibilities
- Write causation reports on defects and damage so that clients are satisfied.
- Prepare scopes of works.
- Visit sites to inspect them and talk with everyone involved in the project.
- Do the structural design and drafting for timber, steel and concrete structures, and draw designs using Autocad.
- Pay close attention to detail in all technical work on buildings.
- Keep billings up to date.

- Keen to learn and to be mentored.
- Happy to be part of the team.
- Strong English writing and structural analytical skills will be highly regarded.
