Do you have tyre fitting and wheel alignment skills? A workshop in Queensland needs a Tyre Fitter and Wheel Aligner for its Brisbane location. You will fit tyres, check alignment and help with general car servicing.

The work must be safe, accurate and good in quality. You will often work on your own, and you will also help the team. Sponsorship is available for suitably qualified candidates with the required experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fit tyres to passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles and 4WDs
  • Put tyres on standard and aftermarket wheels
  • Check and adjust wheel alignment on passenger vehicles and 4WDs
  • Do light and medium automotive servicing and maintenance
  • Inspect tyres, wheels and related parts, and find and fix tyre and wheel problems
  • Finish workshop jobs quickly and keep quality high
  • Follow safe operating procedures and workshop safety rules
  • Do accurate and professional work on every task
  • Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean and tidy
  • Work on your own and take responsibility for finished work
  • Help team members with general workshop tasks when needed
  • Speak politely and professionally with customers and colleagues
  • Work towards workshop KPIs and agreed completion times

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Certificate III in Automotive or equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated and verifiable automotive industry experience
  • Hands-on experience in tyre fitting and wheel alignment
  • Experience with passenger, commercial and 4WD tyres
  • Experience fitting tyres to aftermarket wheels
  • Practical knowledge of automotive repairs and maintenance
  • Ability to show real technical skills and past workshop experience
  • Physically able to handle and lift tyres
  • A strong focus on safety, accuracy and quality work
  • Ability to work on your own and manage your tasks
  • A reliable, punctual and professional approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Good time management, the ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to do well in a busy workshop
  • Current manual driver's licence
