Telecommunications Field Engineers help keep mobile and data networks working. This Brisbane team delivers important network projects for major telecommunications providers across Australia.
You will do hands-on technical work, such as integration and commissioning, together with experienced colleagues on large projects. Employer sponsorship is available for suitably qualified overseas applicants who meet Australian migration requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out network acceptance, testing, commissioning and integration of RF and transmission on telecommunications infrastructure projects.
- Install and set up, then commission, antennas, radios, microwave links, transmission systems, feeders, outdoor cabinets and related network hardware.
- Support upgrades of telecommunications towers, new equipment installs, structural changes and infrastructure growth.
- Prepare commissioning reports, testing records and carrier acceptance paperwork to the industry standard.
- Solve technical problems that come up during installation, commissioning and integration.
- Follow safety and health procedures, permits, risk controls and quality assurance rules, and travel to project sites in cities, regions and remote parts of Australia when needed.
- Work well with engineering, project management and field teams so each project is delivered successfully.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven work as a Telecommunications Field Engineer, with strong knowledge of RF and transmission integration.
- Experience in commissioning telecommunications equipment and completing carrier acceptance documents.
- Current Intermediate or Advanced Rigging qualification.
- Current Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform (EWP) and First Aid certifications.
- Experience on telecommunications towers, structural steel installations or infrastructure upgrades; able to travel widely in Australia, including to regional and remote project locations.
- Current driver's licence; extra heavy vehicle licences or relevant industry tickets are advantageous.
- Good understanding of safety, quality and Australian telecommunications industry standards, with excellent troubleshooting, communication and teamwork skills.
