Key Responsibilities
- Lead safe, kind and person-centred care
- Supervise and support care staff during your shifts, and guide them through the shift
- Organise resident care in your area
- Work closely with nursing and clinical teams so care continues smoothly
- Support residents' body, feelings and social life
- Give care that fits each person's needs, wishes and goals
- Give medication and support medication tasks within your authorised scope of practice
- Watch residents' food and drink needs, and join pressure care management and other clinical care
- Help keep care records correct
- Help the care team to share information clearly, and use the workplace systems and technology for care
- Follow workplace health and safety rules
- Keep high standards of infection prevention and control
- Help to make a supportive, professional workplace that puts residents first
Requirements & Eligibility
- Diploma of Enrolled Nursing or another recognised qualification of the same level
- Current AHPRA registration as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse
- Permission to give medication within your professional scope
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or you are willing to get one
- You can show proof of your qualifications and registration
- You show integrity, reliability and professional responsibility
- Strong communication and people skills
- You can supervise, guide and support other care staff
- You care about kind, person-centred aged care
- You understand workplace health and safety and know infection prevention and control steps
- You can use technology and workplace information systems
- You are happy to keep learning and growing at work
- Previous residential aged care experience will be highly regarded
