Key Responsibilities
- Control entry to secure places and let only authorised people in
- Do regular patrols to find possible security problems, and watch the whole site
- Respond to suspicious behaviour, alarms, incidents and emergencies
- Be professional and easy to approach when you talk with authorised staff, contractors and visitors
- Follow security procedures and site rules every time
- Use good judgement with incidents and report concerns to the right person
- Write accurate reports, logs and other security records
- Keep sensitive information private
- Help to keep the workplace safe, respectful and professional
Requirements & Eligibility
- Australian Citizenship may be required for security clearance eligibility
- You hold a current QLD Security Licence
- A current security clearance is advantageous
- You are willing and eligible to go through the required security clearance process
- You can meet the identity, credential and background checks that apply
- You show high standards of integrity, honesty and accountability
- Strong communication skills
- High attention to detail and good awareness of what is happening around you, and you stay calm and professional under pressure
- You can follow strict security and operating procedures
- Previous experience in security or another sensitive working place is desirable
