Key Responsibilities
- Lead care staff with the Clinical Manager
- Make sure residents get safe and correct care
- Assess each resident and plan their care
- Tell staff, residents, families and the multidisciplinary team about the care plan
- Help residents get good results from their care plans, using safe work methods
- Give kind, personal care that keeps independence, dignity and privacy
- Watch residents, report changes and act
- Find ways to make care and life better
- Help residents choose for themselves
- Collect information for funding claims
- Give handover to the next shift with other registered nurses
- Keep information private and respect every resident
- Manage medicines, infection control and Work Health and Safety
- Take part in accreditation audits and follow the rules
Requirements & Eligibility
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (essential)
- Registered Nurse experience, preferably in aged care
- Experience in a multidisciplinary team in aged care
- Knowledge of current aged care issues
- Knowledge of accreditation standards
- Able to lead, share work and help get good care outcomes
- Good writing and speaking skills
- Good at solving problems and being organised
- Keeps learning in the job
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
