Are you a midwife who loves caring for new families? This job is in Hobart, Australia. It is with a private maternity service in Tasmania. You will work with doctors, nurses and other health staff. You will help women and families through pregnancy, birth and the first days after birth.
The job is open to eligible applicants who are already in Australia. People who need visa sponsorship will be considered.

Key Responsibilities
- Give safe, kind and evidence-based midwifery care
- Care for women before birth, during labour and after birth
- Support women in labour and birth, and respect their choices and care plans
- Check the health of mothers and babies
- Notice clinical concerns and pass them on when needed
- Teach and comfort women and their families
- Help with newborn care, feeding and early parenting
- Write clear and correct clinical notes
- Work together with obstetric, nursing, newborn and allied health teams
- Join training, keep learning and help improve care quality
- Guide student and graduate midwives when needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA
- A recognised Midwifery qualification
- Experience giving maternity care
- Strong commitment to woman-centred and evidence-based practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work well in a team of different health professionals
- Committed to keeping your professional knowledge and clinical skills up to date
- Birth suite, antenatal, postnatal or special care nursery experience is highly regarded
- Able to work permanent full-time, part-time or casual hours; able to meet Australian professional registration and employment requirements
