A construction team in Perth is looking for a Project Engineer. A Senior Project Engineer can apply too. The projects are large civil, marine and recreational jobs in Western Australia. This is a full-time role.
You will work with contractors, solve site problems early and take responsibility for your own tasks. Practical engineering sense is as important as technical knowledge. The ad also says work sponsorship (help with a work visa) is available for suitable candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for your assigned construction tasks and project results
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and specialist trades
- Manage daily site work and watch construction progress
- Help with project programs, schedules and cost control
- Coordinate civil, marine, structural and public realm work areas
- Oversee special works such as piling, fender systems and revetments, and manage drainage, landscaping and related civil work
- Read the construction requirements and find practical ways to deliver
- Keep quality records such as ITPs, HIRACs and inspection records
- Check that safety, quality and environmental rules are followed
- Talk with clients, consultants, contractors and other people in the project
- Find ways to make building easier, faster and better
- Guide and support graduate and junior engineers
- Keep accurate project records and report progress
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent recognised qualification
- 2–4 years of civil or marine construction experience for Project Engineer level
- Relevant senior construction and project delivery experience for Senior Project Engineer jobs
- Past site-based engineering experience is preferred
- Experience working with subcontractors and construction teams
- You understand project schedules, cost management and quality assurance
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with good organisation and document skills
- You can read construction requirements and solve practical site problems
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- Proactive, and ready to take ownership of your work
- You work well in teams with different engineering skills
- Real interest in major infrastructure and community-focused projects
