Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain plumbing in homes and commercial buildings
- Set up hot water and cold water supply, toilets, basins and other fixtures
- Fit and maintain pipes, valves, pumps and control systems for plumbing
- Work with hydronic heating: underfloor heating pipes and heating parts
- Fit, replace and commission hot water cylinders
- Fit and commission heat pump systems for heating water
- Help with plumbing for HVAC and technical heating projects
- Study construction plans, drawings and specifications so you do the job right
- Measure, prepare and join pipework using proper trade skills
- Test pressure, commission systems and check performance
- Find faults, repair them and suggest good plumbing solutions
- Work safely, keep job sites neat, share the work with technicians, builders and other trades, and keep tools, equipment and company resources in good order
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised qualification in plumbing, with industry experience that fits the job
- New Zealand plumbing registration, or eligibility to achieve registration
- Minimum three years’ experience in plumbing installation, repairs and maintenance
- Proven experience working on residential and commercial plumbing projects
- Exposure to hydronic heating, underfloor heating or HVAC plumbing systems is advantageous
- Can read technical drawings, plans and project requirements
- Strong technical problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Commitment to high-quality workmanship and reliable service
- Good communication skills and can work within a professional team
- Valid driver licence or willingness to obtain one
- Can provide verified employment history, qualifications and trade experience records
