This is a full-time Pastry Chef job in Dubbo, New South Wales. The employer also welcomes a Bakery Assistant. You will make cakes and pastries in a professional production bakery and use commercial machines.
This job is open to applicants already in Australia. Eligible candidates may be considered for sponsorship under the Orana DAMA (a type of regional migration agreement).

Key Responsibilities
- Get ingredients ready for cakes, pastries and other bakery goods
- Weigh each ingredient with care
- Mix with commercial bakery equipment and get the mix right
- Use mixers, ovens, dispensers and other production machines
- Watch baking and production so each product is the same
- Keep the workflow in production tidy and quick
- Work to the recipes, production steps and quality standards
- Use food safety, hygiene, GMP and HACCP rules each day
- Keep your work area clean and hygienic while you produce
- Clean and look after the bakery machines and equipment
- Safely lift, carry, push and pull products and materials up to 25kg
- Support your bakery team so production needs are met
Requirements & Eligibility
- Practical experience in a commercial bakery, pastry or food-production place
- Can make bakery or pastry products
- A baking or food-production qualification is advantageous
- Knows commercial food safety and hygiene, and understands GMP and HACCP principles
- Can use bakery equipment safely and quickly
- Cares about product quality and consistency
- Works well in a team that focuses on production
- Can physically handle loads of up to 25kg
- Currently residing in Australia
- Can show evidence of qualifications and work experience
