Are you a qualified Maintenance Fitter? A food and FMCG factory in Perth, Western Australia needs one. Your job is to keep machines working well. You will do planned maintenance, find mechanical faults and make repairs.

Key Responsibilities
- Do preventative maintenance on production machines and fixed plant
- Act quickly when machines break down
- Find the cause of mechanical faults and choose the right repair
- Check machines and spot problems early
- Look after conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, bearings and pneumatic equipment
- Repair faults so production stops for as short a time as possible
- Do planned services, inspections and maintenance tasks
- Help with equipment changeovers and changes to machines
- Support upgrades and ideas for improvement
- Look into faults that happen again and suggest fixes
- Keep clear maintenance and service records
- Work closely with production staff to keep the plant reliable
- Follow health and safety rules, and food manufacturing, hygiene and site procedures
- Help create a professional, active maintenance team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, Mechanical Fitting or an equivalent qualification
- Shown experience as a qualified Maintenance Fitter
- Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing or high-volume production places
- Strong skills in mechanical fault-finding
- Experience looking after automated production equipment and fixed plant
- Good understanding of preventative maintenance
- Experience with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, bearings and pneumatic systems
- Can work well in planned maintenance and in breakdown maintenance
- Strong focus on machine reliability, safety and production efficiency
- Can work alone and also help a maintenance team, with good communication and practical problem-solving
- Ready to work rotating day and afternoon shifts
- Real and verifiable trade qualifications and work experience
