This is a job for a chef who cooks Italian food. The restaurant is in Toowoomba, in the state of Queensland, Australia. It is a full-time job. The restaurant opened almost 12 years ago. People in the city know it well.
Your main task is to cook good dishes. The quality should be the same every day. You also help to keep the kitchen at a high standard. You work together with a team. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare food and cook each dish to follow the menu and the quality standards
- Keep the kitchen clean and organised, follow food safety and hygiene regulations, and help with stock so that less is wasted
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen under pressure, and work together with the team for smooth service
Requirements & Eligibility
- Work experience as a Chef in a high-volume restaurant
- A strong passion for Italian cuisine
- A strong passion for cooking with fresh, quality ingredients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with good attention to detail
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Availability to work a flexible schedule. This includes weekends and evenings
- Italian-style pizza skills are preferred but not essential. These skills are stretching, topping and oven work. The right candidate gets full training
