Do you repair trucks? A truck dealership network in Auckland, New Zealand, needs an experienced Diesel Mechanic to work as a Heavy Vehicle Technician. You will service, repair and diagnose heavy vehicles. You will work with a professional team.

Key Responsibilities
- Do general servicing and mechanical repairs on heavy trucks and commercial vehicles
- Find faults using modern diagnostic equipment
- Do mechanical and electrical repairs to the standards of the manufacturer and the industry
- Look over vehicles, test them and find the problem
- Do careful work and make each repair safe
- Work well with other technicians, the service advisors and the parts team
- Be polite and clear with customers
- Keep service records and workshop papers accurate
- Follow safety rules at all times
- Keep learning about new vehicle technology and help the workshop meet service targets
Requirements & Eligibility
- A relevant automotive qualification, preferably a qualified Diesel Mechanic
- Proven experience with heavy vehicle or truck mechanical repairs
- Experience in franchise truck dealerships is preferred but not essential
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems
- Can diagnose and repair complex vehicle problems
- Cares about quality work, accuracy and efficiency
- Genuine passion for the truck and heavy vehicle industry
- Can work alone and in a professional team
- Truck licence or forklift licence is advantageous
