Perth is home to a French-inspired restaurant that is looking for a Head Waiter or Waitress. Food and wine are important there, and so is how the guest feels. You will make guests feel welcome. You will explain the menu, suggest wine and manage the tables. You will also help the other staff.
The employer will look at your hospitality background. Candidates meeting the required criteria may be considered for sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of high-quality front-of-house service at every shift
- Give guests a warm, professional welcome
- Manage table service from the time guests arrive until they leave
- Explain food, wine, coffee and drink choices with good product knowledge, and recommend food and wine that suit the guest
- Give professional wine service and keep service standards high
- Work with the kitchen team and other front-of-house colleagues
- Keep service smooth in busy times
- Check that guests are happy and answer their needs quickly
- Deal with service concerns politely and keep the guest experience positive
- Guide and support other service staff
- Keep the venue clean, tidy and well presented
- Follow responsible alcohol service procedures and venue policies
- Help open and close the venue each day, share ideas to improve the guest experience and represent the business with honesty and professionalism
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years of relevant restaurant experience
- A background in professional or fine dining service is preferred
- Senior waiter, head waiter or similar experience is highly regarded
- Strong practical knowledge of how restaurants and table service work
- Confident knowledge of wine and professional wine service
- A genuine interest in food, wine and coffee
- Fluent English and strong speaking skills
- A valid RSA or Manager's Liquor Licence
- You can work under pressure and balance many priorities
- Strong teamwork, leadership and people skills
- Professional presentation and a positive attitude; reliable, with strong attention to detail
- You can keep service standards steady during busy shifts
- You are willing to work on weekends and during normal hospitality trading hours
- You can show proof of your work history and experience
