Key Responsibilities
- Lead the kitchen and guide the people in it
- Cook and present Italian and European-style food
- Keep every plate good in taste, quality and look
- Help to plan the menu, recipes and daily specials
- Buy, order and rotate stock, and plan food preparation
- Watch stock, food costs and kitchen supplies
- Help to plan staff hours so the kitchen runs well
- Teach and support kitchen staff
- Follow the same kitchen steps every time
- Follow food safety and hygiene rules
- Stay calm and fast in busy service
- Keep the kitchen clean, safe and tidy
- Talk clearly with the management team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Real kitchen experience that can be checked
- Head Chef applicants need minimum 3 years as a senior chef or Head Chef
- Other applicants need earlier work as a Chef, Cook or Kitchen Hand
- You can show your cooking skills and work history
- Experience with Italian or modern European food is highly regarded
- Culinary qualifications or recognised trade training are advantageous
- Senior roles need strong leadership and communication
- You know food costing, ordering, stock control and how a kitchen runs
- You keep high standards in a fast kitchen and understand food safety and hygiene
- You are reliable and organised, and you work well in a team
- You can work the shifts the job needs, including evenings and weekends
