Key Responsibilities
- Service and repair forklifts and material handling equipment, and keep them maintained
- Work in the workshop and at customer locations
- Use your technical skills to find faults and do diagnostics
- Make effective repairs
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance so machines perform well, stay safe and stay reliable
- Answer customer service requests with professional and timely technical help
- Inspect equipment and report its condition with accurate assessments and repair suggestions
- Complete service documents and keep correct records of every inspection, repair and finished job
- Test equipment and adjust it until it runs safely and efficiently
- Think about safety and follow Australian workplace health and safety requirements
- Work with experienced technicians, service teams and customers
- Learn more about products and technical topics through training and mentoring
- Keep tools, equipment and work areas safe and organised; represent the organisation with quality work, professional communication and customer-focused service
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated experience as a Forklift Service Engineer, Service Technician, Maintenance Technician or similar technical role
- A trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Heavy Equipment or a related discipline
- Practical industry experience to support the qualification
- Minimum three years of hands-on experience servicing, repairing or maintaining forklifts and material handling equipment
- Strong ability in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting, and technical troubleshooting in general
- Experience diagnosing faults and doing preventative and corrective maintenance
- Can communicate well in English with customers and team members
- Proven commitment to quality workmanship, workplace safety and professional standards
- Can provide verified employment history, qualifications and supporting skills evidence
- Can meet applicable Australian visa sponsorship and skills assessment requirements
- Motivation to contribute technical skills and industry experience within a professional work environment
