Are you a trained welder? A factory in Perth, Australia, needs two trade-qualified welders. The jobs are full-time and ongoing. The company is an advanced manufacturer. It makes modular critical power infrastructure and AI data centre solutions, and it is growing its factory.
You will do structural and module welding. Structural welding means joining the big steel parts of a frame. You will weld skid bases, frames and enclosures. You will use engineering drawings and weld maps. A weld map shows where each weld goes. All welds must be high quality and compliant.
You work 40.5 hours a week. Monday to Thursday, work is from 6:00am to 3:30pm. On Friday, work is from 6:00am to 12:30pm. Visa sponsorship is available for the right overseas candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Do GMAW welding with solid wire and cored wire, on modules and on structural work
- Weld structural parts, such as 530UB beams and 150x100 RS rafters, by following engineering drawings and weld maps
- Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical positions with the approved welding procedures (WPS)
- Read and understand technical drawings, weld maps and job specifications, and work from them
- Prepare steel, then fit up and tack it before welding
- Look at finished welds to check they meet the specifications
- Help with general fabrication and assembly as part of the team, and keep your work area safe, clean and organised under company and WHS standards
Requirements & Eligibility
- A trade qualification in welding or boilermaking
- Strong GMAW (MIG) skills on solid wire. Cored wire experience is highly regarded
- Able to pass a 2F weld test in mild steel
- Competent and confident welding in flat, horizontal and vertical positions
- Able to read and understand technical drawings and weld maps
- High attention to detail and care for quality work, your own welding helmet and own hand tools, and being reliable, safety-conscious and a strong team player
