This is a full-time, permanent electrician job in Queenstown, New Zealand. The employer is an electrical services business. Key Responsibilities

  • Do commercial electrical installation and maintenance
  • Work on infrastructure and development projects
  • Install, service and look after streetlighting systems
  • Understand electrical drawings, plans and technical specifications
  • Find electrical faults, diagnose them and repair them
  • Finish electrical installations as each project requires
  • Work on your own and manage the tasks given to you
  • Keep a high standard of workmanship on all projects
  • Follow electrical regulations, workplace procedures and safety rules
  • Talk with supervisors, colleagues and project stakeholders
  • Use and care for electrical tools and equipment safely
  • Adapt to different projects and work places, and help build a reliable, professional team

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Current EWRB Electrical Registration
  • A current New Zealand Practising Licence, or eligibility to obtain one
  • 3–5+ years of commercial electrical experience
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of installing and maintaining electrical systems
  • Employment history in the electrician trade that can be verified
  • Can show genuine practical electrical skills
  • Can work independently
  • Makes sound technical decisions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good written and spoken communication
  • Proactive, reliable and professional
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
  • Can work well in a small team
  • Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand, or suitability for employer-supported sponsorship
