Do you work in horizontal directional drilling (HDD)? This full-time job in Adelaide, South Australia needs a Directional Driller or a Directional Drill Tracker. You will join infrastructure projects and work on utility lines such as power, water and gas. Safe, careful work matters every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and track HDD equipment
  • Do HDD work on infrastructure and utility projects
  • Understand what each project needs and follow approved drilling steps
  • Check drilling progress and help the site run well
  • Help with service locating and finding underground utilities when needed
  • Work on power, communications, water, sewer and gas projects
  • Keep safety and quality standards high on every project
  • Follow workplace procedures, project systems and compliance rules
  • Keep clear and correct project records
  • Check drilling equipment, look after it and report problems quickly
  • Work well with crews, supervisors and other site staff
  • Find possible safety or operational problems and deal with them
  • Keep your work at the same good standard on different projects

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Proven professional experience in directional drilling or drill tracking
  • Strong hands-on experience with horizontal directional drilling operations
  • Can show evidence of your past HDD jobs and experience
  • Relevant industry qualifications, licences or accreditations
  • Service locating experience is advantageous
  • A clear commitment to workplace health and safety
  • A reliable and steady work history
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Can work well as part of a professional site team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A strong work ethic and dependable attitude
