A logistics business in Adelaide, SA wants two mechanics. The job title is Diesel Mechanic / Trailer Mechanic. A trailer is the long back part of a big truck. Both jobs are permanent and full-time.
You will look after big trucks and semi-trailers. You service them on a plan. You find what is broken in the brakes, wires or suspension, and you repair it. You also do safety checks under NHVR rules. NHVR is the national road safety body for heavy vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
- Look after heavy diesel trucks
- Look after semi-trailers
- Do planned services and preventative maintenance
- Find and repair mechanical, electrical, brake and suspension faults
- Repair air brake systems, axles, wheel bearings, landing legs and other trailer parts
- Do safety checks so the vehicles follow NHVR rules
- Write maintenance records and job reports
- Work quickly but keep good quality
Requirements & Eligibility
- Heavy Diesel Mechanic trade qualification or equivalent
- Experience with heavy vehicles and trailers
- Strong skills in finding faults (diagnostic and fault-finding skills)
- Experience with air brake systems and trailer maintenance
- Can work independently and in a team
- HC/MC driver's licence is an advantage
- Strong work ethic
- Commitment to safety
