A precision CNC manufacturer in Sydney is hiring a CNC Machinist for its evening shift. There is more than one position. You need 4+ years of recent experience programming and setting CNC machines, and any type of CNC machine is considered.
Most of your time, 70%, is spent setting and running the machines. You will make production parts and prototype parts for customers such as defence and infrastructure. The company can shape the role to suit you. Only applicants already in Australia with the right to work can apply, and visa sponsorship will be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Program CNC Mills, CNC Lathes and Sliding Head Lathe machines
- Set and operate a variety of CNC machines
- Prepare tools, work holdings and jobs for different machining centres
- Check and measure finished parts
- Design work holdings for prototypes and production
- Make production parts and some prototype parts for customers in manufacturing, oil & gas, construction, defence and infrastructure
- Keep building your CNC programming skills
Requirements & Eligibility
- 4+ years as a machinist or CNC machinist
- 4+ years of recent experience in programming and setting CNC machines
- Happy to set and operate CNC machines (70% of the role)
- A Fitting and Turning qualification or similar
- Programming experience with CAM software
- Good computer skills; able to read engineering documents and drawings
- Wants to learn and grow, and can work alone or in a team
- An A++ work ethic and an incredible team player ("not my job" is not part of your vocabulary)
- Candidates must have the right to work in Australia
- Desirable: Proficiency with a CAD-CAM
- Desirable: Proficiency with Fusion360
- Desirable: Proficiency with Okuma OSP
