Do you have strong cooking skills and experience in busy kitchens? A hospitality venue in Sydney, New South Wales, needs a Chef. You will cook on grill, pans, fryers and larder, and you will keep the food at a high standard during busy service.
The kitchen is modern and purpose-built. The menu has well-known dishes and fresh seasonal food. For exceptional candidates, sponsorship consideration is available after six months of full-time employment.

Key Responsibilities
- Get ingredients, tools and stations ready before service
- Cook on grill, pans, fryers and larder
- Keep the same quality, portion size and look on every plate
- Cook classic dishes and seasonal specials
- Change a meal when a customer has dietary needs
- Check that ingredients are fresh and stored well
- Watch stock levels and help order supplies
- Rotate stock and reduce waste
- Keep the kitchen clean and follow food safety and hygiene rules
- Stay calm and quick when service is busy
- Talk clearly with chefs and other kitchen staff
- Share ideas for menu improvements and new dishes, and help the kitchen run well seven days a week
Requirements & Eligibility
- Professional experience working as a Chef
- Hands-on experience on grill, pans, fryers and larder
- Real cooking experience that you can prove
- Good practical knowledge of professional kitchen work
- Able to keep food quality the same during busy service
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety rules
- Understanding of stock control and waste minimisation
- Able to work alone and also in a team
- A positive, reliable attitude to your work, and close attention to food quality and presentation
- Willing to work day, evening and weekend shifts
- A current Food Safety Certificate
- Committed to full-time employment for the required period
