Key Responsibilities
- Cook good food in different kitchen sections
- Prepare ingredients
- Keep stock at the right level
- Make sure each dish has the right quality and look
- Follow kitchen systems, recipes and service steps
- Keep food safe and clean at all times
- Stay efficient when service is busy
- Help the kitchen run smoothly
- Talk well with other Chefs and restaurant staff
- Help train junior team members
- Share ideas that improve food and kitchen work
- Look after your own kitchen section when asked
Requirements & Eligibility
- Earlier commercial cookery experience is preferred
- Qualifications are desirable, depending on the job level
- The job suits apprentices, junior Chefs, qualified Chefs and senior Chefs
- You know how a kitchen works and how to prepare food
- You care about food quality and presentation
- You understand food safety and hygiene
- You can work under pressure and manage many tasks
- You have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- You work well with others in a professional team
- Leadership skills are preferred for experienced and senior-level applicants
- You are happy to learn more and grow
