Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present many dishes well
- Keep food quality and presentation the same each time
- Help the kitchen work smoothly during service
- Cook with fresh, frozen and prepared ingredients
- Cook dishes to match the menu
- Help start new seasonal menus
- Check stock and rotate it correctly
- Reduce food waste and use ingredients well
- Keep the kitchen clean and follow food safety rules
- Help train and develop kitchen staff and work well with kitchen and hospitality colleagues
Requirements & Eligibility
- You have minimum five years of commercial kitchen experience that fits the job
- You have proven experience in a busy, fast kitchen
- You hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- You hold a Diploma in Hospitality or a relevant equivalent qualification
- You cook and prepare food with strong skill
- You can work alone and in a team
- You stay calm and productive when service is busy
- You communicate well and are available for full-time hospitality work
