Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of one kitchen section during prep and service
- Make high-quality fresh pasta, seafood and seasonal dishes
- Cook the same way every time in busy services
- Keep taste, look and portion size excellent
- Finish mise en place so your section is ready
- Work well with the chefs and the kitchen team
- Help and guide newer kitchen team members
- Keep to food safety, hygiene and cleaning rules
- Watch preparation standards and waste less food
- Follow recipes, kitchen procedures and quality standards
- Work breakfast, lunch and dinner services when needed
- Work evenings, weekends and public holidays when rostered
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven professional experience as a Chef de Partie or similar kitchen role
- Strong experience in busy, high-volume commercial kitchens
- Shown experience with Italian-inspired cuisine
- Practical skills in making fresh pasta and preparing seafood
- Experience with seasonal and fresh produce
- Can manage one kitchen section with confidence
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent trade experience
- Strong teamwork, communication and organisation
- Calm and efficient during busy services, with a professional approach to food quality, hygiene and workplace standards
- Free to work nights and weekends
- Can show evidence of your qualifications and professional experience
