Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Eligibility

  • At least 3 years of professional kitchen experience that is relevant
  • A culinary or commercial cookery qualification, or an equivalent one
  • Shown ability to work in a commercial restaurant
  • Japanese cuisine experience will be viewed favourably
  • Strong practical knowledge of cooking and preparing food
  • Understanding of professional food safety and hygiene
  • Can stay consistent and careful with details in busy service
  • Good planning, organisation and time-management skills
  • Can work well without constant supervision
  • Can work together with the wider kitchen and restaurant team
  • Professional attitude, with a strong focus on reliability and quality
  • Good communication at work
  • Can work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Able to give verifiable evidence of your qualifications and experience, and must satisfy Australian employment and visa eligibility requirements
