This is a long-term job for a skilled Carpet Layer in Auckland, New Zealand. The employer is a family business. It sells and installs floors and belongs to a national group of flooring stores. It cares about good work and good people.
The business is an accredited employer. This means it is allowed to sponsor workers from other countries. The visa is called the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV). It is a New Zealand work visa linked to an accredited employer.
Your day starts at one base. You lay carpet in homes and in commercial buildings. Some jobs are for a sister store. First you prepare the floor and remove the old covering. Then you lay the new carpet and finish it well. You work Monday to Friday and also a couple of Saturdays each month. You also teach an apprentice.

Key Responsibilities
- Install carpet in homes and commercial buildings

- Teach and support the apprentice
- Help with jobs for the sister store
Requirements & Eligibility
- Carpet laying experience of at least 3 years'
- Strong experience with wool carpets and textured carpets
- Good at floor prep, uplift and installing to industry and manufacturer standards
- High standard of finish; you feel proud of your work
- Reliable and organised; you can run your own jobs
- Polite and professional with customers in their homes
- Ready to mentor and support an apprentice
- Can work a couple of Saturdays a month
- Has a Full NZ driver licence
- Can begin each day at one base
