A cafe in Auckland needs a Cafe Duty Manager. The job is full-time. You will guide the team, serve customers well and make sure coffee and food are ready on time. You will also check stock and keep the cafe clean.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily cafe work and give friendly, professional service on each shift
- Guide the team and give out duties so work moves well
- Supervise the till, sales and customer payments
- Check coffee, drinks and food for quality and presentation
- Help customers with questions about products and the menu, and handle concerns politely
- Check cleanliness and hygiene in service and work areas
- Check stock levels and refill shelves, displays and cafe supplies
- Oversee coffee product preparation and packing
- Help with opening, closing and other daily steps, and keep service and work areas organised
- Support and guide colleagues when the cafe is busy
- Help train team members and keep service standards high
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety rules, and act professionally so customers see the business in a good way
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience in a cafe, hospitality, customer service or supervisor role is preferred
- You have helped to run or coordinate daily cafe work
- Barista and coffee skills are a strong advantage
- You give reliable, steady and professional customer service
- Clear communication and strong people skills
- You can lead and support others in a hospitality team
- You are confident to take responsibility and make good decisions on your own
- A positive attitude, ready to learn and take extra responsibilities
- Strong work ethic, reliable and honest, with good personal presentation and professional behaviour
- You can handle many tasks in a busy customer-facing place
- You know food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety rules
- You can work both weekend days or at least one Sunday
- Real hospitality experience and work history that can be checked
- You must meet applicable New Zealand employment and visa rules
