Key Responsibilities
- Build and put together steel parts for each project
- Do welding and boilermaking work in the workshop
- Read technical drawings, measurements and fabrication specifications
- Prepare materials by cutting, drilling and grinding
- Use workshop equipment and machinery
- Check quality while you fabricate
- Find fabrication problems and fix them when needed
- Work safely with other trades and workshop staff
- Keep tools, equipment and work areas in good condition
- Follow all workplace health and safety rules and help create a friendly, productive team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised trade qualification in Boilermaking, Welding or Fabrication
- Hands-on workshop experience in the trade
- Shown skills in steel fabrication and welding
- Can understand technical drawings and measurements
- Trade qualifications and work history that can be checked
- Strong focus on safety and quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills, and dependable about attendance and the work given to you
