A dealership in Tamworth, New South Wales, is looking for an Automotive Technician. You will work on passenger vehicles and used vehicles in a modern workshop. You will do diagnostics, servicing, repairs and inspections.
The job is Monday to Friday, with an experienced team to work beside. Sponsorship is available for eligible candidates who meet the role requirements. Check the list of requirements below before you apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Find mechanical and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment
- Do routine servicing and logbook servicing
- Do scheduled maintenance
- Repair many types of passenger vehicles and vehicle brands
- Do warranty repairs following manufacturer specifications
- Complete pre-delivery inspections and vehicle safety checks
- Read technical information, repair manuals and wiring diagrams
- Use workshop software and keep accurate repair records
- Tell the service team clearly about any extra repairs needed
- Follow dealership procedures, safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
- Keep your work area clean, organised and efficient
- Join technical training and learn about new vehicle systems and repair methods
- Work with other technicians and help apprentices when needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised qualification: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
- Valid Motor Mechanic Trade Licence
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on automotive experience that is relevant
- Practical experience in servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs, on different vehicle brands and models
- Understanding of technical manuals, wiring diagrams and OEM procedures
- Experience with manufacturer warranty repair processes is advantageous
- Skilled with diagnostic scan tools and workshop management systems
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate workmanship
- Reliable and punctual, and able to work well in a team
- Valid Australian driver's licence, preferably with manual driving capability
- Evidence of your relevant qualifications and employment experience
