A growing workshop in Auckland, New Zealand, is hiring experienced Automotive Technicians and Mechanics. The jobs are permanent and full-time, Monday to Saturday. The employer is accredited with Immigration New Zealand, so it can sponsor workers on the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV).
There are two jobs. Position 1 is a WoF Inspector and experienced mechanic. This person does WoF inspections following NZTA rules, and the job needs current WoF Inspector authority. Position 2 is an experienced mechanic for servicing, diagnostics, mechanical repairs and WoF-related repairs.

Key Responsibilities
- Servicing and maintenance of cars.
- Fault finding and diagnostics, with diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
- Repair brakes, suspension and steering.
- Check wheel alignment and related suspension.
- Look at tyres, fit them and rotate them.
- Fix engine and cooling systems, and do electrical and general mechanical repairs.
- Pre-WoF inspections and WoF-related repairs.
- Fill in job cards and repair documents. Keep your work and workshop safety at a high level.
- Talk to customers in a professional way.
- Position 1: do WoF inspections following NZTA requirements.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Solid automotive mechanical experience, and the ability to work independently.
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, honest and professional.
- Good attention to detail and workmanship, and good communication skills.
- A Full NZ driver's licence.
- NZ automotive qualification preferred.
- Position 1: Current WoF Inspector authority is required.
