Key Responsibilities
- Do vehicle servicing and scheduled maintenance
- Check, repair and replace brakes
- Repair and upgrade suspension
- Find and fix general mechanical faults
- Inspect vehicles and see what maintenance they need
- Use the right tools and diagnostic equipment well
- Complete repairs to a high standard of workmanship
- Follow workshop safety and operating procedures, and keep your work accurate and professional
- Tell customers clearly about vehicle problems and repairs needed, and work well alone or with the workshop team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of relevant motor mechanic experience
- Employment history in automotive work that you can show and prove
- A relevant automotive trade qualification is preferred
- Strong hands-on mechanical repair and servicing skills
- A valid driver's licence
- You can talk professionally with customers
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- You can work alone and in a team, and you will provide supporting evidence of your qualifications and experience
