Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Find faults in refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and fix them
- Do planned maintenance and regular servicing
- Install and look after cool rooms and freezer rooms
- Service commercial refrigeration equipment and related systems
- Install and maintain ventilation for commercial and industrial buildings
- Install kitchen exhaust and special ventilation
- Service catering and kitchen equipment
- Help to install, service and maintain chilled water systems
- Test systems, commission them and check how well they work
- Spot mechanical, electrical and refrigeration problems
- Use drawings, technical documents and equipment details in your work
- Keep service records and job documents
- Work well with other technicians and project teams
- Keep a professional standard on commercial and industrial sites
- Follow Australian health and safety rules and keep learning on the job
Requirements & Eligibility
- A qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, HVAC, Electrical or a related trade
- Hands-on experience in commercial or industrial places
- A real work history, relevant to the job, that can be checked
- Can show evidence of your qualifications, trade experience and technical skills
- Strong understanding of HVAC, refrigeration or related mechanical systems
- Practical skills in fault-finding and diagnosis
