Are you a cook or chef with experience? A tourist park in Port Hedland, Western Australia, has a job for you. The park is growing. Its kitchen needs a person who is reliable and hardworking. A love of quality food matters too.
This is full-time work. You will work 5 or 6 days per week. The employer and you decide this together. The job is not FIFO. FIFO means flying to a work site and flying home again. Here, you live in the town. The employer says sponsorship may be available for the right candidate. There is also a health check before you start, with a drug and alcohol test.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook meals well, to a high standard, and help prepare and serve food when the team asks
- Give every customer the same good quality, the same portion and a nicely presented plate
- Obey the hygiene, cleaning and food safety requirements
- Assist with stock: checking it, ordering it and using the oldest items first
- Keep a kitchen that is clean, safe and in good order, with little food waste
- Work well with others in a busy team so the kitchen runs efficiently
Requirements & Eligibility
- Past experience as a cook or as a chef
- Good understanding of kitchen operations
- Good understanding of food safety
- Able to prepare high-quality meals in a consistent way
- Reliable, and able to work when under pressure
- Good at communication and at teamwork, with a positive attitude
- Strong work ethic
- Willing to live and work locally, and to take a pre-employment medical that includes a drug and alcohol test
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery preferred. If you have no formal qualifications, relevant experience may be considered instead. Food Safety Certificate preferred
